Cyrus H. Scott is the 33rd person in a descendant report beginning with the earliest known ancestor of our Callin family, (1.) James Callin. This descendant report uses the Register Style of the New England Historic and Genealogical Society.

Fourth Generation
Cyrus H Scott and Mary Wishop were married in Beloit, Rock County, Wisconsin, on 8 Dec 1865. Mary Wishop, daughter of Andrew Wishop (1819–1884) and Isabella Hunter (1820–1859), was born on 27 Sep 1844 in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Her family lived in Bernards, Somerset County, New Jersey in 1850, but by 1860 the family had settled in Owen, Winnebago County, Illinois.
After they married, Mary and Cyrus lived in Harrison, Winnebago County, Illinois, in 1870. Sometime between the births of their two younger sons (between 1872 and 1878) they moved to New Albany, Story County, Iowa, where they were farming in 1880. However, they returned to Harrison, Winnebago County, in the intervening years, which is where they resided in 1900. Mary died on 5 Dec 1902 at the age of 58 and was buried in North Burritt Cemetery in Winnebago County.
Cyrus H Scott and Mary Wishop had four children:
105 i. Howard H Scott, born 30 Jan 1867, Illinois; married Eva Estelle Conklin, 1895; died 13 Aug 1951, Winnebago County, Illinois.
106 ii. Sarah Elizabeth Scott, born 12 Apr 1869, Harrison, Winnebago, Illinois; married Clayton Ruhl Reber, 23 Dec 1896, Winnebago County, Illinois; died 2 Sep 1948, Rockford, Winnebago, Illinois.
107 iii. Samuel Walter Scott, born 12 Sep 1872, Harrison, Winnebago, Illinois; married Ellen Hamilton Gilmore, 22 Nov 1893, Winnebago County, Illinois; died 1 Dec 1957, Winnebago County, Illinois.
iv. William H Scott was born on 19 Nov 1878 in Iowa, when his family lived in New Albany, Story, Iowa in 1880. He died on 13 Jul 1899 at the age of 20 and was buried in Winnebago County, Illinois.
Cyrus married his second wife, Ida May West, on 18 Jun 1906 in Lake County, Indiana. Ida May was the daughter of Isaac West and Marietta Boughner, was born on 9 Oct 1864 in Annawan, Henry, Illinois. She was the widow of George Oscar McDonald (1855-1902) of Ontario, Canada, and had two children from her first marriage.
Cyrus and Ida lived in Harrison and Shirland, Winnebago County, and later in Rockford, Winnebago County. Ida died in Shirland on 14 Jul 1928 at the age of 63 and she was buried on 16 Jul 1928 in Shirland. After that, Cyrus went to live with his daughter, Sarah E. Reber, in Rockford, in 1930. He died in Rockford on 8 Jun 1931 at the age of 87 and was buried on 10 Jun 1931 in North Burritt Cemetery, Winnebago County, Illinois.
Cyrus H Scott and Ida May West had the following child:
