I know there are mistakes and missing information in this blog - but I need you to help me fix them! I put all of this information on the blog to show what I have, hoping to make connections with branches of the family who might know more.
Eventually, of course, I want to publish *correct* information in book form. (Currently, I'm focused on revising the Callin Family History, but there are a lot of interesting projects to do after that one is done!)
The most frequent mistakes people catch are small details about the spellings of names or missing family members. Since I make an effort not to publish information about living people, you shouldn't expect to find them in this blog. That said, I do try to document everyone, and I often have to make guesses about who is who from patchy public records and obituaries. I always appreciate help confirming that kind of information.
So, if you recognize your grandparents or great-grandparents in one of my posts, and want to help set the record straight, you can use this form to complete a "Family Group Sheet" - based on the standard form from the National Archives.
If you decide to complete this form, the information goes straight to me, and no one else. I will add it to the appropriate Ancestry tree(s) under my account, citing your submission as a source. Others will not be able to see private information about living people unless I invite them to my tree and grant them special permissions - which I won't do unless I've confirmed that they are a relative in that tree.
I don't want to put anyone at risk, so if you have concerns about privacy that I haven't accounted for, please let me know - you can email mightieracorns@gmail.com any time.
