William H. Callin is the 37th person in a descendant report beginning with the earliest known ancestor of our Callin family, (1.) James Callin. This descendant report uses the Register Style of the New England Historic and Genealogical Society.

Fourth Generation
Ellen C. Channing, daughter of Joseph Channing (1808–1889) and Charlotte Fox (1811–1901), was born on 24 Nov 1838 and grew up in Isle Abbotts, Somerset, England. Her family arrived in New York on the ship Meridian on 17 Jun 1851.
William and Ellen established their farm in Ridgefield, Huron, Ohio, and remained in Peru Township, Huron County, Ohio until at least 1 Jul 1863, and then moved to Richmond, Huron County, where they stayed the rest of their days.
Ellen died on 31 May 1916 at the age of 77 and was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Huron, Ohio. William died on 16 Nov 1919 at the age of 85 and was buried with his wife.
William H Callin and Ellen C. Channing had four children:
118 i. Lillian Florence Callin, born 10 Oct 1861, Huron County, Ohio; married Aaron Newton Richards, 17 Nov 1880, Huron, Ohio; died 10 Jul 1936, Willard, Huron, Ohio.
119 ii. Anna L Callin, born 19 Feb 1865, Huron County, Ohio; married Walter A Williams, 17 Nov 1887, Huron, Ohio; died 13 Jan 1908.
120 iii. Lydia Minerva Callin, born 8 Feb 1869, Richmond, Huron, Ohio; married Charles Lincoln Clark, 8 Aug 1889, Huron, Ohio; died 7 Jan 1943, Willard, Huron, Ohio.
121 iv. Grace M Callin, born 5 Jan 1880, Richmond, Huron, Ohio; married William Henry Ritz, 3 Apr 1901, Huron County, Ohio; died 4 Feb 1978, Ohio.
