Fifth Generation

90. Edith May Callin (William V-4, James-3, James "2nd"-2, James "1st"-1) was born on 15 June 1872 in Rochester, Lorain County, Ohio, where she grew up. Edith and Oley Ray Hanley were married on 16 Aug 1900 in Lorain County. Ray was the son of John L Hanley (1844–1910) and Hannah Walker (1852–1911), born on 16 Aug 1876 in Columbia Station, Lorain County, and raised in Rochester.

Ray and Edith lived in Norwalk, Huron County, Ohio, until at least 1910. They must have divorced sometime during the decade, as Ray registered for the draft during World War I, listing a different wife, in Saint Clair County, Michigan, on 12 Sep 1918.  Ray married a third time in Ohio in 1921. This marriage seems to have also been short-lived, as he was single and living in Ellsworth, Mahoning County, Ohio in 1930. He lived in Green, Ashland County, Ohio through 1940, and died on 17 Feb 1953 at the age of 76 in Loudonville, Ashland County.

Edith Hanley lived in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, from at least 1919 through the rest of her life. It seems likely that she knew her cousins who lived in Toledo - Ben Frank and Daisy Callin. She died there on 15 May 1967 at the age of 94.

Oley Ray Hanley and Edith May Callin had the following child:

290 i. Lyle Elliott Hanley, born 19 Feb 1902, Norwalk, Huron County, Ohio; married Marie Earley, 11 Sep 1929, Lucas County, Ohio; died 10 May 1935, Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio.
